NICOFRUIT was founded in 1994 in Scanzano Jonico, in the province of Matera (Basilicata) by Francesco Nicodemo and a group of young friends. In 1998 it was associated with ASSO FRUIT ITALIA, one of the biggest fruit and vegetable producer organisations in the South of Italy.

Today NICOFRUIT is made up of over 30 partners that altogether cultivate more than 400 hectares of land.

On average 150 seasonal workers are employed with a peak of 350 in the most intense harvest periods.

The factory is 12.300 m2 (covered and external). It is newly built and it is designed to guarantee the quality of products.
Sustainable development is the only viable model for NICOFRUIT, in fact solar panels are located on the storage and structures of processing and they are sufficient to feed most of the company’s energy needs.

NICOFRUIT has registered a steady growth over the years and has planned substential investments to improve the quality of products, the number of members and the amount of the marketing areas.
